STLCC's Rebecca Rheinheimer Named Region 16 Player of the Year
St. Louis Community College's women's soccer team celebrates a season of outstanding achievements as sophomore forward Rebecca Rheinheimer has been named the Region 16 Player of the Year. Rheinheimer led the Archers with an impressive 24 goals, four assists, and 20 shots across 14 games, delivering six game-winning goals to propel STLCC throughout the season. Her exceptional scoring ability and playmaking skills distinguished her as a top performer in Region 16.
Joining Rheinheimer on the Region 16 First Team is sophomore defender Bleda Beto, who anchored the STLCC defense and contributed three goals and one assist, including a game-winning goal. Known for her commanding presence and versatility, Beto's impact on the field and ability to transition seamlessly into the attack have set her apart as one of the finest defenders in the league. Beto's exceptional talent has earned her a spot as one of top players in the region.
The Archers also earned Second Team honors with Taylor Kolinski and Grace Eimer. Kolinski, STLCC's standout goalkeeper, played in all 14 games this season, posting a goals-against average of 0.99 with 81 saves and six shutouts. Her reliability and skill between the posts have been crucial to the Archers' defensive success.
Eimer, a solid central back, earned Second Team recognition with her impressive two goals, one assist, and unmatched versatility. Known for her hard tackles, defensive intelligence, and effective set pieces, Eimer has been an invaluable asset to STLCC's backline, excelling in every defensive position.
The Archers capped off a strong season with 10 wins and a thrilling run to the Region 16 Final, where they battled St. Charles Community College into double overtime, ultimately falling short in a narrow 1-0 defeat. Despite the heartbreaking loss, the Archers showcased their exceptional skill, teamwork, and dedication, setting a high standard for STLCC women's soccer.
