The Archers held their last regular season game on Saturday, October 21 with a tri-match with Wabash Valley College and Frontier Community College. In a day filled with non-stop action, intense rallies, and a display of remarkable athleticism, the Archers were able to add two more matches to the win column.

In match one, the Archers were able to take three quick sets from the Wabash Valley Warriors. Key player of the match was sophomore outsider hitter, Kaylee Gerwitz. "She brings a dynamic and versatile skill set to her team. Her powerful swings and accuracy in attacking the ball are a constant threat to opponents. Her ability to adapt to different game situations and her consistent defensive contributions have established her as a key player in Archer's lineup." said Coach Neal.

Before the start of the final match, STLCC honored four outstanding sophomores that played their final match on the STLCC court. Every year, St. Louis Community College is proud to have student-athletes who represent the college well through their hard work both on the court and in the classroom. We thank #14 Isabelle Sapp (Libro), #20 Kaylee Gerwitz (Outsider Hitter), #23 Demetria Penny (Middle Hitter) and #24 Cassidy Bloethner (Setter) for their hard work and dedication to STLCC Volleyball and we wish them well in their future endeavors.

The final match of the day featured the Archers going head-to-head with Frontier College. The Archers were quickly able to take sets one and two. But the Bobcats were able to answer back by taking set three.  In the end, the Archers emerged victorious in four closely contested sets, sealing their second win of the day.

The Archers will be back on the court taking on East Central College in the Region 16 Tournament on Friday, October 27th at 6:00 PM at MCCKC - Longview Campus.
