The STLCC volleyball team faced a difficult task when they traveled to Ft. Dodge, Iowa on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12. On Friday, the Archers faced off against two nationally ranked opponents, falling to #19 Kirkwood 3-0 before losing to #20 North Iowa Area CC 3-1. STLCC faced an equally difficult task on Saturday and dropped their first match to Central CC 3-0 and their second match to #18 Carl Sandburg 3-0.
Over the four game span, Kyla Sidener and Trisha Gaylord led the Archers in kills with 22 each. Lauren Partney collected 36 assists, Lillian Howell came up with 46 digs, and Breyanna Howard made two blocks.
With the losses at Iowa Central, STLCC fell to 19-12 overall on the season. The team will be back in action for a big Region XVI and MCCAC matchup on Wednesday, October 16 at East Central College.
