After coming off two wins at the Millikin University trimatch on Tuesday, September 10, STLCC faced a stiff test against NJCAA DI Missouri State University – West Plains on Wednesday, September 11.  In Wednesday's match, the West Plains Grizzlies used a consistent offensive attack to defeat the Archers 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-11).

Leading the way offensively for STLCC in the loss were Trisha Gaylord and Breyanna Howard, each recording five kills.  Lauren Partney collected 10 assists, while Emma Leppien set up the offense with nine.  Lauren Holsclaw led the Archers with seven digs.

With Wednesday's loss to West Plains, STLCC falls to 8-3 overall and 0-2 in MCCAC play.  The team will be back in action on Friday, September 13, when they travel to Kansas City, MO to open Region XVI play against Metropolitan CC.
