The STLCC volleyball team entered the Region XVI Tournament seeded third, but quickly upset #2 East Central College to advance to the championship match against Metropolitan CC.
In the semi-final match against ECC, the Lady Archers used a balanced attack to defeat the Falcolns by a score of 3-1. Jessie Mireles, Alyssa Mee-Rask, and Trisha Gaylord all finished with double diget kills. Lauren Partney finished with 25 assists, Addison Schneider tallied 21 assists, and Lillian Howell led the way defesively with 28 diggs.
The semi-final victory over ECC meant the Lady Archers would take on MCC for the Region XVI Championship. In the championship match, STLCC came up short, falling to the Wolves by a score of 3-0. Standouts for the Lady Archers against MCC were Abigail Slattery (7 kills), Lauren Partney (11 assists), and Lillian Howell (25 diggs).
STLCC finished the season as the runner up in Region XVI with an overall record of 10-21.
