The STLCC volleyball team went 1-1 during their recent home tri-match against Morton College and Lake Land College. The Lady Archers got off to a fast start against Morton on Saturday, leading to a decisive 3-0 win. In the second match of the day, STLCC took a quick 1-0 lead after one set, before falling in the next three and dropping the match 3-1. Offensively on the day, the Lady Archers were led by Jessie Mireles (17 kills), Trisha Gaylord (15 kills), Abigail Slattery (15 kills), Breyanna Howard (11 kills), Addison Schneider (33 assists), and Lauren Partney (29 assists). The defense was led by Lillian Howell (30 diggs) and Raeanne Andrews (17 diggs).
With the split, STLCC moves to 7-13 overall. The Lady Archers will return to the floor on Wednesday, October 10, when they host conference/regional opponent East Central College. Wednesday's match is set to begin at 6:30pm.
