On Friday, September 28, the STLCC volleyball team fell on the road to Metropolitan Community College by a score of 3-0. After losing set one 13-25, STLCC battled in a tight second set before falling 20-25. The tough MCC team completed the sweep of the Lady Archers by winning set three by a score of 16-25. Offensive stars for STLCC included Trisha Gaylord (10 kills), Breyanna Howard (6 kills), Lauren Partney (14 assists), and Addison Schneider (10 assists). Lillian Howell led the charge defensively, recording 24 diggs.
The Lady Archers will return to action when they host Morton College and Lake Land College on Saturday, October 6. Saturday's matches are scheduled for 10:00am and 2:00pm. STLCC's record is now 6-12 overall, 0-2 in Region XVI play, and 0-2 in MCCAC play.
