Archers Celebrate Sophomores with a 4 Set Victory

The St. Louis Community College volleyball team got a much needed victory on Thursday night, as they celebrated sophomore night in grand fashion by defeating Missouri Baptist in four sets (25-19, 24-26, 25-20 and 25-11).  The win was big for the Archers as they head into the final week of regular season and the Region 16 tournament. 

Rae Andrews and Taylor Russell paced STLCC with seven kills, with Andrews also leading the way with twelve digs.  Sophomore Maura Rabun added six kills and led the way with three solo blocks.  Sophomore Sarah Stretch led the Archers with eleven assists and three service aces, while Molly Schultehenrich added ten assists.

STLCC returns to action on November 1st with an away match at Lewis & Clark, before opening play in the Region 16 tournament next Friday at MCC-Longview.
