Volleyball Drops Two on Opening Day of SWIC Invitational

The Archers volleyball team dropped two matched on Friday afternoon on the opening day of the SWIC Invitational, dropping the opener to Lewis & Clark in three sets and the nightcap to John A. Logan in three sets.  During the first match, Taylor Russell had a run of six service points during the second set.  Ali Ayotte tallied eighteen digs for the match, while Maura Rabun collected nine kills.  Russell and Kenna Marquardt each had two aces.  

During the second match of the day, Raeanne Andrews led the way with twenty-two digs and Ayotte added nineteen.  Marquardt added three more aces for five on the day, while Russell college two solo blocks.  

The Archers fall to 3-5 on the year and return to action on Saturday morning with a 9:00 am match against SWIC.
