Women's Soccer Falls In District Championship

A 3-1 Central District Semifinal win against Columbia State CC on Thursday, November 7 sent the STLCC women's soccer team to the Central District Championship on Friday, November 8.  In the championship match against #5 Lewis and Clark CC, the Archers took a quick lead, when Maggie Tovar scored an unassisted goal at 8:24.  The 1-0 lead would not last long, as the Trailblazers from Lewis and Clark found the back of the net three times and took a 3-1 lead into the half.  The second half was not much kinder to STLCC, as Lewis and Clark scored three more times and won the match by a final score of 6-1.

Although STLCC fell in the Central District Championship, the team had a very successfuly season.  The 2019 season included a Missouri Community College Athletic Conference (MCCAC) Championship  for the second straight year, a Region XVI Championship, and a 14-5 overall record.
