The STLCC women's soccer team came away with a big win over St. Charles on Thursday, October 17. The previous meeting between the two teams went to overtime, with St. Charles edging STLCC by a score of 2-1. In Thursday's match, both teams played tight defensively and the match remained scoreless at halftime. In the second half, Brea Griffonetti found the back of the net on a setup from Isabella Lundberg to give the Archers a 1-0 lead. Griffontti's goal would be all STLCC would need, as Kelly Cates secured the shutout victory in net.
Win the win agianst St. Charles, STLCC improved to 10-4 overall, 4-1 in Region XVI play, and 2-0 in MCCAC play. The Archers will play their final regular season match against State Fair CC on Saturday, October 19. Saturday's match will begin at 1:00pm at Meramec.
