The STLCC women's soccer team bounced back from a tough loss against Lewis and Clark by defeating Illinois Central by a score of 4-0 on Friday, September 27.  In Friday's match, the Archers took a quick 1-0 lead on a goal by Salma Omer (assisted by Malorey Krutzsch) at 8:00.  Shortly after Omer's goal, Isabella Lundberg made the score 2-0 on a setup from Brea Griffonetti.  The Archers got second half goals from Salma Omer and Molly Brogan (assisted by Taylor Thompson) to seal the win.  Sophomore Kelly Cates made eight saves to preserve the shutout.    

With the win over Illinois Central, STLCC improved to 8-2 on the season.  The team will be back in action on Tuesday, October 1 for a big Region XVI and MCCAC matchup at St. Charles CC.
