The STLCC women's soccer team came away with a 2-0 victory over Jefferson College on Wednesday, September 18. The tightly played match remained scoreless until the Archers came to life in the final minutes of the contest. Taylor Thompson was able to find the back of the next twice for STLCC lin less than two minutes. Her first goal came on a setup from Brea Griffonetti at 84:00. Thompson quickly tallied a second goal at 85:00 with the assist going to Sydney Adamec. Kelly Cates made one save in net for the Archers to secure the shutout victory.
With the win on Wednesday, the Archers improve to 6-1 overall, 2-0 in MCCAC play, and 2-0 in Region XVI play. The Archers will be back in action on Sunday, September 22, when they host Southwest Tennessee CC for a 12:00pm match.
