The STLCC women's soccer team won a thrilling match on Monday, October 15 against Culver Stockton JV. In a very tightly played match, STLCC was able to take a late lead just before the end of regulation. In the 88th minute of action, Maggie Tovar set up Makayla Duncan for her first goal of the season. Duncan's goal would prove to be the deciding tally, as the Lady Archers held on for a 1-0 victory. Goalkeeper Kelly Cates made four saves for a shutout win in net.
With Monday's win, the Lady Archers improved their overall record to 8-6-1. The team will be back in action on Friday, October 19 for their final regular season match against Dyersburg State CC. Friday's match at Meramec is set to begin at 4:00pm.
