After trailing 2-1 in the second half on Thursday against the visiting Central Methodist Eagles, the Lady Archers were able to bounce back with two unanswered goals to secure a 3-2 victory. STLCC took an early lead in the match, when Maggie Tovar opening the scoring at 17:10 on a goal assisted by Sam Amezcua. CMU fought back to tie the game at 1-1 and the score remained tied at the half. After a quick goal by CMU to open the second half, the Lady Archers responed with a pair of unassisted goals by Madison Dodd at 66:00 and 69:13. STLCC was able to hold on for a 3-2 victory. Libby Modde made 4 saves in goal for the Lady Archers.
STLCC will be back in action on Saturday, September 15, when they host Metropolitan CC for a Region XVI matchup at Flo Valley. Saturday's match is scheduled for 2:00pm.
