The Lady Archers got off to a fast start against the visiting Southwestern Illinois Blue Storm on Tuesday. Freshman Kelton Hewett scored her first goal of the season just past the twelve minute mark in the first half of play. Grace vanHoornbeek tallied her team leading third assist on Hewett's goal. STLCC's lead wouldn't last, as SWIC answered with two goals in the second half to secure a 3-2 win. Lady Archers goalie Kelly Cates made eight saves in match. The St. Louis CC women's soccer team falls to 2-3 overall ater Tuesday's loss. They will be back in action against Central Methodist University on Thursday, September 13 at home.
