Saturday was a day for domination on the Meramec campus for the STLCC women's soccer team, as they rolled to a 7-0 victory over Southwest Tennessee Community College.  The Archers dominated from the opening whistle and defensively they did not allow a shot in the ninety minutes of game action, and controlled the action which was played on their half of the pitch all afternoon.  Grace vanHoornbeek had a career day, as she pocketed a hat trick to run her season goal total to five on the year.

During the second minute of the match, vanHoornbeek started her day to remember, as she took a pass from Alexa Griffonetti and found the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.  Haylie Woodard connected on a penalty kick twenty-eight minutes later to give the Archers a 2-0 lead and thirty seconds before halftime, Woodard found the foot of Sam Amezcua to give the Archers a 3-0 lead heading into the break.  During the forty-eighth minute, vanHoornbeek netter her second goal of the match as Amezcua earned the assist, but Grace was not done scoring on the day as she scored six minutes later as Griffonetti once again earned the assist, pushing the lead to 5-0.  Although Griffonetti was having fun assisting on the vanHoornbeek goals, she decided to double her point total on the day with a goal to make it 6-0, as she found a well played ball by Chloe Bowen for the goal.  During the eighty-seventh minute, Ellie Wallace wrapped up the scoring with an unassisted goal to make the final score 7-0 and improve the Archers to 4-5-0 on the season.  Libby Modde collected her fourth clean sheet of the season.

The Archers return to action on Monday afternoon, with a 4:00 pm start vs. Missouri Valley on the Meramec campus.
