The first weekend of fall, paired with a start time of eleven am on Sunday morning, brought the hottest match of the year both temperature wise and offensively for the Lady Archers soccer team, in a 6-0 victory over visiting Cincinnati State.  The Archers dominated the Surge in all aspects of the match, highlighted by outshooting the visitors twenty-nine to three and collected nine corner kicks in the process.

The Archers got on board for the first time of the day in the twenty-fifth minute as Sam Amezcua scored her third goal of the season, as she was assisted by Caitlin Robertson, to give STLCC the 1-0 lead.  The Archers did not have to wait very long to update the scoreboard, as Kate Ohler found the back of the net off an assist from Jessica Nast, two minutes later, to give themselves a 2-0 lead at the half.  Alexa Griffonetti scored the first of her two unassisted goals on the day, ten minutes into the second half, to give the Archers a 3-0 lead and one minute later, Michalla Rohrer scored an unassisted goal, to make it 4-0.  In the seventy-fourth minute, Amezcua and Robertson connected again, as Amezcua notched her second goal of the day to make it 5-0 and Griffonetti wrapped up the scoring in the eighty-seventh minute giving the Archers the 6-0 win and in the process collecting their third win in four matches.

Libby Modde collected her third clean sheet of the year in goal for STLCC, who improve to 3-4 on the season and return to action on Thursday afternoon with a match at Lewis & Clark.
