Archers Drop 2-1 Match vs. Broward

After a lightning delay of over two hours on Friday night, the Lady Archers soccer team finally got back on the pitch in Melbourne, FL to face Broward College, falling in a tough match 2-1.  Broward scored first in the thirty-sixth minute of the match and took a 1-0 lead into halftime, but the Archers answered in the fifty-sixth minute on a Sam Amezcua goal, her first of the year, assisted from Michelle Kean to even the match at 1-1.  Broward got a late goal in the eighty-second minute to take the 2-1 lead, and held on defensively the final eight minutes of the match to pull out the victory.  The Archers had six shots on goal for the night and Libby Modde had eight saves in goal.

STLCC, who falls to 0-2 on the year, returns to action on Sunday morning at 9:00 am to take on Polk State before returning home.
