After a tough Region 16 loss two days earlier, the St. Louis Community College women's soccer team regrouped and pulled out a hard earned 3-2 victory at SWIC on Thursday afternoon.  After a scoreless first half, the Archers started the second half fast when Sam Amezcua found the back of the net, off an assist from Grace vanHoornbeek, fifty-eight seconds into the half to give the Archers a 1-0 lead.  Six minutes later, Alexa Griffonetti made it 2-0, when she took a pass from Chloe Bowen and beat the Blue Storm goalie.  SWIC did not go away though, as they scored two goals during the seventy-seventh minute, to tie the match.  Both teams had opportunities the next eleven minutes, but neither team could cash in until the eighty-eighth minute, when Kaitlin Robertson scored the game winning goal and give STLCC the 3-2 win.

Libby Modde made eight saves in the victory, as the Archers improved to 7-6 on the season.  STLCC returns to action on Saturday for a 12:00 pm at Region 16 foe MCC-Blue River.
