The STLCC women's basketball team earned their first win of the 2019-2020 season on Saturday, November 9 against National Park College. In their second game of the Lady Greyhound Classic in West Memphis, AR, the Archers outscored the Nighhawks in the first, second, and fourth quarters to come away with a 72-62 win. The win was also the first for new STLCC Head Coach Jacob Yorg.
In Saturday's win, the Archers were led in scoring and rebounding by Kyla Richardson, who collected 20 points and seven rebounds. Also scoring in double figures for STLCC were Ronne'zja Elliott and Janet Garrett with 17 points each. Elliott also led the team with five assists.
With the win, STLCC's record improves to 1-3 on the season. The Archers will be back in action on Wednesday, November 13 at home against Kaskaskia College. Wednesday's game is set to tip at 5:30pm.
