The STLCC women's basketball team finished the regular season with a bang on Saturday, February 23 against National Park College. STLCC sophomores were also honored following a 100-53 win at home. The Archers raced off to a quick start, taking a 52-15 lead into halftime. The STLCC offense continued to sizzle in the second half, as the Archers were able to come away with a 47 point vicotry.
STLCC recieved offensive contributions from all 13 players who dressed in the game. Double figure scorers in the contest included sophomores Kyleigh Vaught (22 points) and Simone Rodney (19 points).
The Archers improved to 19-7 with the win over National Park College. STLCC will now prepare for the Region XVI Tournament. The Archers revieved the #2 seed in the tournament and will take on #3 North Central Missouri College on Friday, March 1 at 4:00pm. A win against NCMC would pair STLCC against #1 seed Metropolitan CC on Sunday, March 3 at 2:00pm for the Region XVI Championship. The Region XVI Tournament will run from Thursday, February 28 - Sunday, March 3 and will be played at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO.
