Women's Basketball Defeats NCMC, Improves to 3-0 In Region XVI

The STLCC women's basketball team rebounded from a tough home loss to Three Rivers College in a big way on Monday, February 11 against North Central Missouri College.  Region XVI road games are always difficult matchups, but the Archers were able to take down the Lady Pirates by a score of 82-57 to remain undbeaten in region play. 

Kyleigh Vaught led the way offensively for the Archers on Monday, collecting 18 points and also recording a team high eight assists.  Kanisha Green-McClain also had a big night for STLCC, scoring 17 points.  The Archers were led in rebounding by Simone Rodney.  Simone's team high 14 rebounds, along with 11 points led to her first double-double of the season.  Kimyra McGhee also recorded 10 rebounds in the winning effort.

With Monday's victory, the Archers improve to 17-6 overall and 3-0 in Region XVI play.  STLCC will be back in action on Wednesday, February 13 at home against Missouri Baptist University JV.  Wednesday's game will be played on the Meramec campus and is set to tip at 5:30pm.
