The STLCC women's basketball team came away with a big conference road win on Tuesday, January 8 at Moberly Area CC. STLCC was tested early against the Lady Greyhounds and trailed 37-35 at the half. The Lady Archers caught fire in the second half thanks to a 21 point third quarter, leading to a 75-70 win.
Simone Rodney led all scorers with 17 points. Kyleigh Vaught scored in double figures with 16 and led the team in assists with six. Kyla Richardson also added 13 points for the Lady Archers and Caprice Hairston grabbed a team leading seven rebounds in the win.
STLCC moved to 12-4 overall with Tuesday's win over Moberly. The Lady Archers also improve to 2-1 in MCCAC play and will be back in action on Saturday, January 9, when they travel to Trenton, MO to open Region XVI play against North Central Missouri College at 1:00pm.
