The STLCC women's basketball team kept their recent winning streak going by defeating Southwestern Illinois College in the STLCC Classic on Sunday, December 9. The Lady Archers were able to outscore the Blue Storm in all four quarters, leading to a 86-47 victory. Kyleigh Vaught led the way for STLCC, scoring 16 points and adding seven assists. Kimyra McGhee recorded double figures with 14 points and also pulled down six rebounds. Ronne'zja Elliott tallied 12 points and had nine assists. Simone Rodney also scored in double figures, adding 10 points.
With Sunday's win, the Lady Archers moved to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in MCCAC play. STLCC is also currently ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA poll. The Lady Archers will be back in action on Friday, December 14, when they travel to Palos Hills, IL to take on #12 Moraine Valley CC for a 6:00pm tip.
