Lady Archers Use Big 2nd Quarter To Defeat WashU

The STLCC women's basketball team was able to defeat Washington University JV 66-52 on Thursday, November 29.  After a closely played first quarter, the Lady Archers found some rythm offensively, outscoring the Bears 21-10 in the second quarter for a 32-23 halftime lead.  The nine point lead was all that STLCC would need, as they held on in the second half to earn their fifth win of the season.

The Lady Archers were led by Simone Rodney, who collected 21 points and grabbed nine rebouds.  Kyleigh Vaught also added 16 points in the game.  STLCC's record improves to 5-1 on the season.  The team will be back in action on Saturday, December 1, when they travel to West Memphis, AR to take on Arkansas State - Mid-South.  Saturday's game is schedule to begin at 1:00pm.
