Lady Archers Go 1-1 At KCKCC Classic

STLCC women's basketball recently traveled to Kansas City, KS to particpate in the Kansas City Kansas Community College Classic.  On Friday, November 9, the Lady Archers fell to host KCKCC by a score of 81-65.  In Friday's matchup, Kyleigh Vaught led the way offensivly for STLCC, going 15 for 18 from the free throw line and totaling 22 points.  Simone Rodney finished with nine points and both Machela Cook and Ronne'zja Elliott collected 8 points in the loss.  

In the second game of the classic on Saturday, November 10, STLCC was able to bounce back, defeating Hesston College 78-59.  The Lady Archers got a balanced attack against Hesston, which included four players scoring in double figures.  Scoring in double figures for the Lady Archers were Simone Rodney (16 ponts), Ronne'zja Elliott (12 points), Kyla Richardson (11 points), and Kimyra McGhee (10 points).

The Lady Archer's record moves to 2-1 overall.  The team will be back in action on Wednesday, November 17, when they travel to Missouri Baptist University for a 5:30pm tip.
