Women's Basketball Opens With Win Over Southeastern Illinois College

The STLCC women's basketball opened their 2018-2019 season on Wedenesday, November 7 with a 91-69 win over Southeastern Illinois College.  The #6 ranked Lady Archers took a 45-35 lead into halftime, before putting the finishing touches on a 22 point victory to open their season.  STLCC got a balanced offensive attack on Wednesday, which included three players in double figures.  Kyleigh Vaught led the way for STLCC with 22 points, Kyla Richardson added 15 points off the bench, and Kimyra McGhee chipped in with 12 points.  McGhee also led the Lady Archers in rebounds with 10. 

STLCC begins the season 1-0.  The team will be back in action on Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10, when they travel to Kansas City, KS to participate in the Kansas City Kansas Community College Classic.  On Friday, The Lady Archers will take on host KCKCC at 6:00pm.  The Lady Archers will wrap up the classic on Saturday, with a noon tip against Hesston College.
