Lady Archers Physicality Leads to W at State Fair

The St. Louis Community College women's basketball moved to 6-0 on the season with a 73-61 road win at State Fair on Tuesday night.  This marked the first time STLCC has beaten their MCCAC foe on the court.  Sophomores Chrishana Wilson and Ellisha Davis led the way for the Lady Archers, as Wilson collected a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds and Davis scored 15 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and collected 5 assists and steals.  Freshmen Simone Rodney contributed 13 points and nabbed 3 steals, while Caprice Hairston also pulled down 8 rebounds and added 9 points.

STLCC held the RoadRunners to 31.8% shooting from the field and outrebounded them 49-35.  The Archers collected 20 assists on 30 of their made field goals on the night. 

The Archers are off until Wednesday November 29th, when they travel to Southeastern Illinois for a 5:30 pm tip.
