When you open the season in a top 15 match-up, you get tested early, and Thursday night the 7th ranked Lady Archers proved to be to much for 14th ranked Moraine Valley, winning 76-57. The Archer jumped out to a 16-10 lead after one quarter and pushed the lead to 38-21 at the half. Freshman Simone Rodney drew the start for STLCC and lead the Archers with 17 points and added 8 rebounds. Sophomore Andranae Wash added 16 points and 8 rebounds, while Chrishana Wilson added 14 points and a team high 9 rebounds. Ellisha Davis led the Archers with 4 assists.
The Archers improve to 1-0 on the season and return to action on Saturday night with a exhibition match at Lewis University, tip is at 7:00 pm.
