Lady Archers Depth Leads to Road Victory at Jefferson

The St. Louis Community College Lady Archers basketball team jumped out to a 22-12 lead after one quarter of play on Wednesday night in Hillsboro, leading them to a 79-56 victory against the neighbors to the south, Jefferson College.  Andranae Wash had a big first half, as she scored 19 of her 23 points in the opening two frames helping stake the Archers to a 41-31 lead heading in the locker room at the half.  Wash would add 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals to her game high point total.  Chrishana Wilson added her fifth straight double-double by scoring 10 points and pulling down a game high 16 rebounds.  Steady point guard Ellisha Davis, scored 16 points and dished out a game high 6 assists in the victory.  

The 4th ranked Lady Archers improve to 8-0 on the season and return to action on Sunday as they host SWIC at 2:00 pm during the STLCC Classic.  The annual Classic will host 8 teams and four games on the Forest Park campus, and includes 5 ranked teams throughout the NJCAA D1 and D2, including 3rd ranked Johnson County Community College and the 4th ranked Lady Archers.
