6 Lady Archers Reach Double Digits in Victory over #13 North Central Missouri

After a stretch of 3 games against D1 competition, with two teams in the national rankings, the St. Louis Community College women's basketball team returned to action against Region competition and pulled away for a 89-65 Region 16 road win over North Central Missouri.  Six Lady Archers reached the double digit mark in scoring, including all five starters as Chrishana Wilson led the way with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 steals.  Andranae Wash scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and a game high 6 assists, while Ellisha Davis scored 14 points, pulled down 6 rebounds, 5 assists and grabbed 3 steals.  Rounding out the double digit scorers for STLCC was Erica Waeltermann with 12 points, Caprice Hairston with 11 points and Kelsi York with 10 points. 

Defensively, the Lady Archers forced 22 turnovers and held North Central to 40 percent from the field.  On the other hand, STLCC only committed 4 turnover and shot 50 percent from the field and had 10 more offensive rebounds in the victory.

St. Louis Community College improves to 14-3 on the season and returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they host a 1:00 pm Region 16 contest against MCC-Penn Valley.
