Lady Archers Secure Top Seed With Road Victory

The St. Louis Community College women's basketball team picked up a Region 16 road victory at North Central Missouri on Thursday night 82-67 and at the same time secured the top seed in next weeks Region 16 tournament in Jefferson City.  

The Archers led throughout the contest, in a game that was much different than the first meeting in St. Louis which saw the Lady Archers win 75-73 on a basket in the final 21 seconds, as they pulled away from their seven point halftime lead.  Two freshmen led the way for the Archers as Ellisha Davis paced all scorers with 24 points and five assists, Chrishana Wilson turned in another double-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds and added 5 steals.  Sophomore Shamiah Oliver added 14 points and 8 rebounds for the Lady Archers who have now won 8 straight and have pushed their record to 19-8 and 7-0 in Region 16 play.  

The Archers complete the 2016-17 portion of their regular season on Saturday in Kansas City as they face MCC-Penn Valley.
