The St. Louis Community College Lady Archers have gotten better as the season has progressed.  On Monday night, we got a glimpse of how much better in a 71-49 victory over Lincoln Land Community College on the Forest Park campus.  On December 19th, STLCC lost in Springfield to the Lady Loggers 77-72 to fall to 6-5 on the season, but since that cold night the Lady Archers have gone 10-3 and won the past five games to improve to 16-8 on the season.

Ariyah Sorrells collected her first double-double of the season as she scored 12 points and pulled down a game high 10 rebounds.  Shamiah Oliver led all scored with 17 points, her ninth straight game in double figures, while Ellisha Davis scored 10 points and dished out 5 assists in the victory.

STLCC outscored Lincold Land 23-6 in the third quarter, to extend a 35-33 halftime lead to 58-39 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Archers return to Region 16 play at 1:00 pm Saturday on the campus of Forest Park for a match-up with Cottey College.
