Guards Controls Tempo in Lady Archers Victory over Elgin

The St. Louis Community College guards controlled the action on Saturday afternoon in Elgin, IL during a 84-47 victory over Elgin Community College.  Freshmen Ellisha Davis and Erica Waeltermann were a combined 8-16 beyond the arc, while sophomore Shamiah Oliver had a happy homecoming by hitting 3-5 from deep.  Davis led the Archers with 21 points and dished out 9 assists, Waeltermann added 18 points and 4 assists and Oliver dropped 15 points and 6 assists in the victory. The Archers got another solid game from freshman Chrishana Wilson, who added 12 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to collect her twelvth double-double on the year and her seventh consecutive game with a double-double.  

STLCC posted 27 assists on their 35 baskets and only committed 9 turnovers on the night, while also picking up 20 steals.  

The Archer improve to 8-6 on the season and head over to Moberly, MO for a match-up with MCCAC foe and 25th ranked Moberly Area Community College on Tuesday night.
