Archers Run by Marshalltown CC 76-54

The St. Louis Community College Lady Archers returned to court in Marshalltown, IA, but this time to face home team Marshalltown Community College on Saturday night looking to return to St. Louis with a perfect 2-0 start, and that they did with a commanding 76-54 victory.  The Archers turned a seven point lead at halftime into a twenty-six point lead heading into the fourth quarter, by outscoring MCC 28-9 in the third quarter.  

Shamara Glover and Chrishana Wilson both scored fifteen points for the Archers, while Wilson also added ten rebounds.  Alfreda Roberts added nine points, eleven rebounds and a block, while Elisha Davis also scored nine points, six assists and seven rebounds to help pace the Archers.  Off the bench, Shamiah Oliver and Ariyah Sorrels added ten and nine points respectively.  The Archers outrebounded Marshalltown 52-34 on the night and also had twenty assists to only seven for MCC.  

STLCC returns to the cozy confines of the Forest Park campus gymnasium for a 5:30 pm start on Wednesday against the Lindenwood Belleville JV team, which will be followed by the STLCC men tipping off vs. Kansas City Community College at 7:30 pm.
