Saturday afternoon was full of positive energy on the Forest Park campus, as the Lady Archers improved to 6-0 in Region 16 play with a 75-58 victory over Cottey College.  But, the victory was not the only reason for celebration, as St. Louis Community College honored four sophomores after the game as Shamiah Oliver, Ariyah Sorrells, Alfreda Roberts and Shamara Glover all closed out their regular season play at home, and the annual Cancer Awareness game raised over $3,700 for the St. Louis Childrens Hospital.  All in all, it was a good day to be a Lady Archer coach, player and fan.

Ellisha Davis and Oliver each scored 17 points in the victory, with Davis collected 6 assists and 4 steals.  Chrishana Wilson added another double-double, her twentieth of the season and her twenty-second double digit rebound game of the year, with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  The Archers took control midway through the first quarter and never looked back as they built on their 36-24 halftime lead during the second half.

STLCC improved to 18-8 on the season and will take to the road for two important Region 16 road contests starting at North Central Missouri on Thursday and MCC-Penn Valley on Saturday which will determine seeding for next weeks Region 16 tournament in Jefferson City.
