The St. Louis Community College Women's Basketball team got a huge boost of confidence on Wednesday night on the Forest Park campus with a 63-62 victory over  MCCAC leader Three Rivers Community College.  Three Rivers jumped out to a 21-15 lead after the first quarter and took a 35-29 lead into the locker room at the half, but the third quarter belonged to the Lady Archers, who outscored Three Rivers 20-11 in the quarter.  The fourth quarter saw the lead exchange hands possession after possession until under the final minute.  \

Three Rivers took a 62-61 lead on jumper, but STLCC forced the ball down low to freshman Chrishana Wilson for a turn around floater in lane with 38.6 seconds left.  St. Louis held the Raiders to a missed shot on the ensuing possession and grabbed the rebound, but Three Rivers forced a turnover with 5.2 seconds left to regain the ball.  The Archers fouled Three Rivers on the inbound, to force the Raiders to inbound again, as they had not yet reached five team fouls and allowing Three Rivers free throws. With 2.1 seconds remaining on the clock, Erika Harvey deflected the inbound pass and quickly jumped on the loose ball as the clock ran out.

Shamara Glover led all scored with 19 points, while Shamiah Oliver scored 13 points.  Wilson once again collected a double-double in the victory, scoring 13 points and grabbing 20 rebounds and 5 steals.

The Lady Archers move to 14-8 on the season and look to remain unbeaten in Region 16 competition on Saturday as they travel to Lexington, MO for a 1:00 pm tilt with Wentworth Military College.
