The St. Louis Community College Lady Archers wrapped up a perfect Region 16 regular season on Saturday afternoon in Kansas City with a 75-52 victory over MCC-Penn Valley. The Archers fell behind 19-16 after the first quarter, but rebounded in the second to take a 30-25 lead into the half. The second half belonged to the Archers as they outscored the Scouts 45-27, to finish the regular season 8-0 in Region play and improved to 20-8 on the year.
Chrishana Wilson once again turned in a stat line that turned heads, with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals. Wilson now has twenty-four double-doubles on the year and has reached double digits in twenty-six of the twenty-eight games. Three other Lady Archers joined Wilson in double digit scoring as Shamiah Oliver continued her late season push with 14 points, Ellisha Davis added 11 points, with Erica Waeltermann and Erika Harvey each scoring 10 points. Alfreda Roberts grabbed a game high 11 rebounds in the paint.
STLCC now moves into the Region 16 tournament as the top seed and will play on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Lincoln University, in Jefferson City, against the winner of Tuesday nights Cottey College/Wentworth Military matchup.
