Archers Look To Continue 13 Game Winning Streak

The STLCC softball team enters the week riding a 13 game winning streak.  The Archers' last loss came on their annual Florida trip back on Wednesday, March 20.  The team's hot streak has propelled them to a 19-3 overall record and a perfect 8-0 record in conference play.  During the streak, STLCC has defeated Iowa Central College, Kaskaskia College, East Central College, Jefferson College, St. Charles Community College, and State Fair Community College.  

The Archers are led currently batting .390 as a team and have smashed 23 home runs in only 22 games.  Freshman outfielder Tori Siebum leads the offensive with six home runs and 32 RBI.  On the mound, sophomore Hannah Marquardt has notched seven wins and sophomore Sarah Shepard follows closely with six of her own.  

STLCC will be back in action on Monday, April 8 when they travel to Belleville, IL to take on Lindenwood-Belleville JV in a double-header beginning at 5:00pm.  On Tuesday, April 9, the Archers will host Three Rivers College in a battle of undefeated conference teams.  Tuesday's games on the Meramec campus will begin at 2:00pm.  STLCC is currently receiving votes in the NJCAA Top 20 poll.
