St. Louis Community College Softball team completed the regular season sweep of East Central yesterday, winning game 1 4-2 and taking the nightcap 15-9.  With the sweep, the Archers finish the regular season 10-2 in Region 16 play and move to 23-10 on the year.

Game 1

Hannah Marquardt allowed one earned run in seven innings, while striking out five batters to move to 11-3 on the season in the circle, while also driving in a run with a double.  STLCC also got RBI's from Sadiya Collins and Abby Lavely to support the 4-2 victory.

Game 2

The nightcap was a totally different game, as the teams combined for 32 hits and 24 runs in the slugfest.  Seven different Archers had multi-hit games as Jenn Luebbert, Morgan Moss, Kacy Bergfeld and Milly Darner each collected three hits a piece, with Moss driving in three runs on three doubles.  Anna Counts, Lavely and Ashley Shepard each had two hits, with Lavely, Shepard and Collins each driving in two runs in the win.  Kourtney Timper earned the win by allowing two earned runs in four innings pitched, while Marquardt picked up the save by not allowing a run in two and two-thirds innings.

STLCC will travel to SWIC for a doubleheader on Sunday.  The wins also create a rematch in the opening game of Region 16 play between East Central and STLCC next Friday, with a 2:00 pm first pitch in Farmington.
