The Lady Archers Softball team is ready to return to the diamond, fresh off a 38-10 season last year, as they travel to Cocoa Beach, FL for eleven games in six days, including two against #12 ranked Iowa Central and opening up play against Region 24 foe Parkland. The Archers return Sarah Goers, who as a freshman hit .445, with 19 doubles, 4 homeruns and 53 RBI and Anna Counts, who hit .447 with 32 RBI and 18 stolen bases. STLCC also returns everyday starters Eva Rasey and Haley Fisher. STLCC welcomes a talented group of newcomers, including transfers Morgan Moss and Sadiya Collins. In the circle, STLCC has more depth with five arms that will see action with sophomore Kourtney Timper returning and aided by freshmen Sarah Shepard, Jenn Luebbert, Khloe Johnson and Hannah Marquardt.
The Archers welcome back Head Coach Kristi Swiderski for her second season, after a stellar rookie season in the dugout.
The Lady Archers will host Mineral Area for their home opener on March 22nd, with first pitch slated for 2:00 pm.
