Archers Named to the MCCAC All-Conference and Region XVI All-Region Teams

Five Lady Archers were named to the NJCAA Region XVI All-Region Team, Kacy Bergfeld, Morgan Moss, Sarah Shepard, and Anna Counts were named to the first team. Hannah Marquardt was named to the second team.

Kacy Bergfeld a freshman from Troy Buchanan H.S in Troy, Mo was an anchor behind the plate and a solid left fielder. She collected 55 hits in her 1st season with 25 of those hits being for extra bases. She carried a .420 batting average with a .664 slugging percentage. Bergfeld was also selected to the MCCAC All-Conference Team.

Morgan Moss a transfer from Anderson University supplied the power at the plate with a team leading 11 homeruns, 43 runs, and 45 RBI's. She finished the season with 13 doubles, 2 triples, and a .398 batting average with a .789 slugging percentage. Moss was also selected to the MCCAC All-Conference Team.

Sarah Shepard a freshman from Clayton H.S in Clayton, Mo was a power house on the mound. Sarah started 15 games for the Lady Archers and finished the season with a 8-7 record. She led the pitching staff with an average of 5 strike outs per game and only gave up 3 homeruns the entire season.

Anna Counts a sophomore from Seckman H.S in Branhart, Mo was one of the sophomore leaders for the Lady Archers. Counts lead the team with a .421 batting average, 56 hits, and 4 triples.

Hannah Marquardt a freshman from Freeburg H.S in Freeburg, IL was a work horse on the mound. She lead the pitching staff with 18 games started, 11 completed games, 106 innings pitched, and 2.57 ERA. She completed the season with a 14-5 record. Marquardt was also selected to the MCCAC All-Conference team.

The Lady Archers finished the season with a 28-13 record, runners-up in the Region XVI Tournament, and 3rd in the MCCAC Conference.
