Playing in a constant rain throughout 6 innings, the Lady Archers softball team could not break through on Monday afternoon vs. South Suburban College, falling 1-0 in a 6 inning shortened game in Myrtle Beach.  

Kyla Blankenship was very good in the unfortunate conditions and took a hark luck loss after throwing 6 innings, allowing only 4 hits, an unearned run and collecting 8 strikeouts.

The Archers had runners in scoring positions during the 2nd, 3rd and 6th innings, but could not find a way to get a runner across the plate.  Madison Sundling had a double off the right center field wall. STLCC fall to 4-1 on the season, and had their late afternoon game vs. Rend Lake canceled do to the precipitation.  The Archers will complete their spring break trip on Tuesday morning with a 10:30 first pitch vs. Prairie State College and a 12:30 start vs. Central Lake College.
