The Lady Archers traveled to Lewis & Clark on Wednesday afternoon and brought a pair of 9-3 victories back home to improve to 26-8 on the season.
Game 1
Kyla Blankenship picked up the win in the circle for STLCC, throwing 7 innings while allowing 1 earned run and striking out four. Madison Sundling, Blankenship and Sarah Goers each collected 2 hits in the opener. Goers drove in 2 runs and added 2 doubles, Blankenship scored 2 runs and also drive in 2 of her own, while Sundling added a triple and scored 2 runs. Haley Franklin added a triple and scored 2 runs.
Game 2
In the nightcap, Kourtney Timper threw 7 strong innings, allowing only 2 earned runs to pick up the victory. Shekinah Griffith, Goers and Franklin each collected 2 hits and created some action on the bases as Griffith stole 3 bases and scored 2 runs, Franklin added a double and Goers drive in 3 runs with 2 doubles. Katy Moore added a double and scored 2 runs to help lead the Archers to the sweep.
STLCC returns to action on Thursday afternoon on the Meramec campus for an important Region 16 doubleheader with East Central College. First pitch is set for 2:00 pm.
