The STLCC men's soccer team traveled to East Peoria, IL to take on #20 Illinois Central College in the Central District Champsionship on Saturday, November 9. In Saturday's match, ICC got on the board first, finding the back of the net at 31:00. The tightly played defesive match remained 1-0 at the half. The ICC Cougars struck again at 51:00 in the second half to take a 2-0 lead. STLCC's offense struggled to get anything going in the second half and Illinois Central came away with a 2-0 victory, ending the season for the Archers.
Although the Archers fell in the Central District Championship, STLCC won the Region XVI Championship for the fourth consecutive season. The Archers finished the 2019 season with a 12-8-1 record.
