On Wednesday, September 25, the STLCC men's soccer team got a big region and conference win against East Central College. Reece Kral got the scoring started by finding the back of the next for the Archers at 38:00. With Kral's goal, STLCC took a 1-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, Jack Leeming made the score 2-0 on a setup from Kieran Campbell at 56:00. East Central got a goal at 58:00 to make the match 2-1, but Zach Klevorn gave the Archers a little extra insurance, when he scored on a pass from Kral at 74:00 and STLCC was able hold on for a 3-1 victory. Alec Redington made three saves in net for the Archers and Liam Gibbs made one stop.
With the win, STLCC improved to 8-3 overall, 3-1 in Region XVI play and 2-1 in MCCAC play.
