The STLCC men's soccer team dropped a tough match against region and conference opponenet Jefferson College on Wednesday, September 18. The Vikings of Jefferson College were able to find the back of the net at 41:00 and took a 1-0 lead into the half. In the second half, STLCC struggled to get anything going offensively, while Jefferson tallied goals at 55:00 and 75:00 to defeat STLCC 3-0. Liam Gibbs made eight saves for STLCC in the loss.
With Wednesday's loss, the Archers fall to 7-3 overall, 1-1 in MCCAC play, and 2-1 in Region XVI play. The team will return to action on Wednesday, September 25, when they host East Central College for another big region/conference matchup at 4:00pm.
