Archers Continue To Roll, Secure Home Field Advantage For Regionals

The STLCC men's soccer team secured home field advantage and a first round bye for the upcoming regional tournament by defeating Crowder College 4-0 on Saturday, October 13th.  On Saturday, the Archers got off to a 1-0 start when Brandon Burton found the back of the net on a setup by Ricardo Navia in the 30th minute.  The score remained 1-0 going into halftime.  The second half saw the Archers erupt offensively.  STLCC got second half goals from Noah Vezzu (unassisted), Ricky Turcis (assisted by Alem Sabic). Burton got his second goal of the match in the 60th minute on a setup from Matt RollLiam Gibbs collected his 5th shutout for the Archers in net.

On Monday, October 15, STLCC collected a 6-0 win against Culver Stockton JV.  The Archers got off to a quick start in Monday's match and never looked back in the shutout victory.  STLCC got goals from Charlie Norman, Brandon Burton, Savino Livornese, Noah Vezzu, Alem Sabic, and Kevin ZapataOdaine Reid recorded his 5th win of the season in the shutout. 

STLCC is now 15-3 on the season.  The Archers will host Lindenwood-Belleville University JV on Wednesday, October 17 at Flo Valley for their final regular season match.  Wednesday's matchup is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm.
