Sunday afternoon turned into Championship Sunday at State Fair, as the Archers wrapped up the Region 16 regular season and the MCCAC championship with a 4-0 victory, improving to 15-0-0 on the season.  The Archers have now run their regular season unbeaten streak to thirty-four matches, dating back to the 2015 season and remain as the number one ranked team in the NJCAA polls.

The Archers made the most of early opportunities on Sunday, as Mattias Tonking scored on a header, his ninth goal of the year, in the sixth minute of the match, as Connor Summerhill picked up his seventh assist of the season on the goal.  Luck played a part of the next goal six minutes later, as the Archers lead was pushed to 2-0, after an own goal on a loose ball in front of the Roadrunner net.  All was mostly quiet for the next thirty minutes until Dyan Chapa broke free for his second goal of the season when he connected on a pass from Eric Habonimana to make it 3-0 STLCC.  Three minutes later, Josh Graham scored his fourth goal of the season, as he hammered home a direct free kick from the left side of the box making it 4-0 heading into the half.

The Archers collected their tenth clean sheet of the season, as Braedan Passalis and Scott Caraway combined in goal for the clean victory.  The Archers return to action on Thursday afternoon with a 4:00 pm match at Southwestern Illinois College.
